The Park….

There are more than 1,500 animals from 200 different species to see, 50 of which are in serious danger of extinction and over 2,500 examples of more than 160 species of trees, shrubs and ground cover plants from these regions. The park offers a huge varied collection of flora and fauna and is an excellent venue for families looking to spend an interesting, educational and entertaining day in a natural setting.

The Park is divided into different areas encompassing animals and plants from Asia, Europe and the Americas, as well as the weird and wonderful world of venomous creatures in the Pangea section. If you are interested in marine life, there is a lake with underwater viewing feature where you can see various creatures of the deep, including nurse sharks and rays. For the more adventurous it is possible to arrange a session to swim with the sharks and rays!

Restaurants…

In the PANGEA region, located next to the volcano, the Riolita offers a wide variety of menu options and there are terrace tables where you can watch a waterfall emerging from inside the volcano. The menus feature a variety of delicious dishes: snacks, salads, meat and fish. La Salamandra de Jaspe is ideal for breakfasts, warm pastries and delicious sandwiches, freshly cooked in the embers of the volcano!

If you are feeling hungry in the AMERICAS the Dona María la Acunada with its colonial architecture offers flavours of traditional central American cuisine, including burritos, nachos, chill con carne, etc. El Tucán is a BBQ buffet themed with tropical birds offering salads, pastas and the most delicious meats. Cantina La Esquinita is a quick stop for energy boosting drinks & ice creams.

The ASIAN quarter is home to the Indian Tea House where you can keep a watchful eye on the Children’s Temple. The ideal place to take a break and let the kids enjoy themselves while you have a tasty snack. Garam Masala’s offers delicious dishes at this popular self-service. More than likely you will come across friendly villagers who sing and dance while you relax and enjoy your lunch.

EUROPE takes on a greek theme and for the most discerning palates, Estiatorio Áyios Nikoláos restaurant is set in an Orthodox temple where you can feast on greek and mediterranean dishes. The best selection of fish and meat accompanied by the most select wine list are all yours in this restaurant. You may wish to guarantee a table by calling 902 50 04 14. The Taverna Dimitris savours the most traditional dishes from Kalicameni. The self-service section boasts a full range of salads, pastas and meat. Choose to eat in or out on the terrace in a typical greek square, hosting regular puppet shows.

Shopping…

The Park offers visitors a wide range of gift shops featuring objects from all over the world including artwork, colourful textiles & clothes (eg indian saris), books, music, scented candles & incences, artisan craft work made from ceramics, paper & clay. Of course, souveniers and beach accessories as well as camera films, digital camera cards, etc are also available for purchase.

Prepare to go wet & wild…

New this Summer 2010 “La Cresta”, the only water attraction in the world that lets you experience the feeling of zero gravity!!

The fabulous wave pool welcomes you for fun in the sun with your family and friends. Take a stroll along the beach, relax on one of the three islands, stretch out on one of our comfortable sun loungers or enjoy a refreshing drink under the shade of the parasols by the beach bar. The pool covers an area of 5,000 square metres and contains some 6,000 cubic metres of water! It is surrounded by rocks, waterfalls and geysers.
There are various areas for bathers, including the wave zone, the water chute zone and the swimming zone. The Geyser is a huge column of water that emerges from the “sea” creating a refreshing shower!! The waterfall releases a powerful flow of water into a beautiful cascade. A special haven can be found for relaxing under the mediterranean sun at the spa zone where relaxation is premium.

Water Chutes include the Black Hole, an experience for the most daring, featuring a heart-stopping plunge at great speed into a black hole with strobe effect lighting, bursting out into a sheet of water. The Adventure River, just grab your float and launch yourself off on an adventure on this fast-paced descent. The ZigZag Giant slide will sweep you away by the current on a crazy zigzagging descent, whizzing round the curves. You’ll feel as if it’s never going to end!

Kidzone – NERÓ KALÓ

A favourite with the children are these two irregularly shaped fun pools, with an average depth of 0.37m and no deeper than 0.90m. The Splash pool is extremely popular where excited visitors await for the central structure to explode with a shower of water, average water depth is 0.26m and is rounded off by walkways, hidden nooks and interactive games for children to immerse themselves in fun.

Around the edge and within the pool are various attractions for endless entertainment and fun. The kids will feel like the pirates of the Mediterranean in the boat with its rails, gang-planks, slides, nets and bridges. Marine animals and the search for hidden treasure round off this corner of Aqua Natura which is the ideal spot for unlimited wet’n’wild fun! Access to this pool is restricted to children over the age of 4 and their parents and is personally supervised by our lifeguards. Children can play and amuse themselves on a sandy beach while parents can keep an eye on from the comfort of a nearby bar.

Toca Toca is a special zone for seeing, feeling and touching marine species such as rays and multicoloured fish.

The Aquarium “Sharks Cave” offers a marine world full of multicoloured fish, majestic rays and nurse sharks. It is home to four nurse sharks, two smoothhound sharks and 30 rays to name just a few species.

Swim with the Sea Lions. Daily informative and educational shows are given with the emphasis on the natural habitat and care of these wonderful creatures, plus their amazing ability to entertain and the opportunity to swim with them before or after the shows.

Restaurants…

The self-service “Reef Restaurant” on the seashore specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, enjoying a varied menu including starters, salads, rice and the most delicious dishes. You can also sit out on the terrace and admire the panoramic view of the water zone.

and a snack bar for sandwiches, soft drinks and ice-creams make up the eating options in the water park, and there are also gift shops and picnic areas. The Ice Corner is an ideal spot to relax, regain some energy and watch the kids while you enjoy crusty sandwiches, pizzas and snacks, or have a refreshing fruit juice or beer. Ice Corner 2 offers a shady retreat for juices, soft drinks or ice creams.

The Sun Sea Shop offers absolutely everything you would need to spend a fabulous day in the water park.

Be Secure and Play Safe!

The Park has safety notices and regulations posted throughout its facilities. Visitors are recommended to adhere to these regulations for their own safety and security whilst enjoying their visit. Of note, children under 1.25m (4ft) in height may not be allowed in the deep water pools.

Aqua Natura has a qualified team of lifeguards who are not only there for your safety but also to answer any questions you may have. The Park offers a first aid service to deal with any medical emergencies on the spot. The first aid room can be found in the Customer Service office.

Missing Children – If a child has gone missing or you have lost something, you can come to our Customer Service office which is open all day until the park closes.

Visitors with Special Requirements…

Aqua Natura has a special parking area, telephones in the washrooms and dedicated seating areas in the show and exhibition zones. Although the park has been designed giving particular consideration to the needs of persons with special requirements, bear in mind that there are steep slopes in certain areas. It is recommend that people with limited mobility come with someone who can give them assistance. Of interest, electric scooters can be hired for 23€ and wheelchairs are provided free of charge (until stocks run out) with a security deposit of 5€. See Customer Service Office for details.

There are amphibian chairs available for people with physical disabilities, which are free of charge during your visit to Aqua Natura.

Items for Hire…

Items such as buggies, lockers, floaters (free use on chutes only), etc., can be hired at low cost from the Customer Services Office, with minimal security deposit.
